Biography
Stephanie is an active individual who enjoys photography- landscape and wildlife, playing music, hiking, and spending time with my Partner Mike and dog Duke. Stephanie’s passion for photography began in the 1980s using film. She would journal the family vacations through photographs. Her favorite photography is wildlife, she is an avid hiker and takes her cameras everywhere – backpacking in California and Colorado. In 2011, while living in California Stephanie met a photojournalist, Josh Miller, and began following his photography. She then took a few photo trips to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite with him and a group of photographers on photo workshops. In 2018, Stephanie traveled to Alaska with Josh Miller (the photojournalist and photo workshop guide), and other photographers to follow the bald eagle migrations in Haines, Alaska. She spent time learning about bird photography and photographing large raptors. She continued to work on her bird photography skills, locally. During the pandemic, time was well spent following the local warbler migration and winter ducks. In the summer of 2022, traveled to Scotland photographing iconic castles and gardens, and wildlife. In August 2022, returned to Alaska for 10 days. Photographing Katmai coastal brown bears in their natural habitat was exciting. We traveled with one the best bear guides, Drew Hamilton, Josh Miller, and fellow photographers from all over the world. Afterward, we traveled to Homer to photograph additional wildlife- eagles, sea lions, whales, and sea otters! Next up is Costa Rica in 2024! Stephanie is based in Dublin, Ohio. She is a member of the Dublin Area Art League.
